Do any of our fold members check this blog? I changed some settings to make it easier to leave a comment. If you don't have a google account, just click "anonymous" but leave your name in your comment. I hope that makes sense.
Our dinner theme this time is "finger foods". Preferably food you can eat with your fingers rather than food made out of fingers, in case you were confused! Since it is Christmas time, we will be having some kind of gift exchange game. So bring a small gift- can be something you have at home, cookies, candy, ornament, whatever you want- less than $10 and just 1 per family. We'll have a couple extras on hand just in case.
This month we will look at what Proverbs has to say about being a good spouse!

Dinner Sunday Night!
Hello everyone, sorry we haven't updated sooner....tomorrow night we will be meeting at 5:30 for dinner and visiting. We won't try to have a meeting since there will be no child care. Some people have suggested that we have a theme for the meals. This time let's do Mexican! Maybe 2 or 3 main dishes, and some sides...please leave a comment saying what you will bring, then you can also see what we might still need. Next time we'll start this sooner, so you have time to plan ahead and go shopping if you need to! If you don't have something Mexican that's fine, we just thought that would make it easier to know what to bring. We hope everyone (husbands too!) can come!

Meeting This Thursday!
Our first meeting is this Thursday at 5:30! We will have a potluck dinner. Please bring a meal to share! Can someone please bring a dessert? Just leave a comment saying you will. Caren will probably make cookies or something too.
We want to use this website as a way for the group to communicate with us and each other, (for questions, meal planning etc.) so check it for new information and lesson review, and feel free to ask questions about dinner or the lesson, or just comment on something!
See you soon!

Proverbs study

---
We will start things out with a study in Proverbs. Proverbs 1:7 reads, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline." This verse is the foundation for understanding the book of Proverbs, and will be the foundation for our study. Fearing the Lord is not cowering away from Him or being scared of Him, it simply is just putting Him first in our lives. Jesus before all else.
I hope to do a little recap of each time we meet on this blog as a way to keep the study fresh in our minds.
This page will also be a good communication tool for planning meals and other activities. Having said that, what sounds good for our first meal? Dinner starts at 5:30!
